Princeton, NJ, May 9, 2013 — NIKSUN® Inc., the world leader in real-time monitoring and cyber forensics solutions, is hosting the 8th WWSMC (World Wide Security & Mobility Conference) on June 24-27, 2013 at the Bally’s Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ. The WWSMC Summer ‘13 conference will feature topics on cyber warfare, cyber defense, and mobile security. WWSMC ’13 is already amassing an impressive speaker list and expecting over 500+ attendees. Past keynote speakers at WWSMC have included the Honorable Michael Chertoff, Former Secretary, U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Commissioner William Ralph Basham, Former U.S. Commissioner of U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP), Director of the United States Secret Service (USSS), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Senior Executive Presidential appointee in the Clinton, Bush and Obama administrations.

WWSMC ’13 will join forces with the Global Wireless Summit (GWS) which combines 3 other global conferences along with WWSMC: the Wireless Vitae (European), the Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications Symposium (Asian), and PRISMS, the International Conference on Security and Privacy in Mobile Information and Communication Systems (European). This international conglomerate of forces will bring high-tech companies and give an economic boost to the storm-ravaged coast of New Jersey. “The decision to host the GWS conference in Atlantic City, New Jersey this year came with remembrance to the suffering that recently took place in the area,” said Dr. Parag Pruthi, NIKSUN’s Founder, Chairman, & CEO. “After watching the devastation of our coast and the city of Atlantic City in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the opportunity to bring fresh perspectives in cybersecurity as well as an economic boost to the area felt like the right thing to do.” WWSMC ’13 will take place at the Bally’s Hotel, drawing hundreds of attendees and their families from around the world to the area.

WWSMC ’13 will feature both a Cybersecurity Tournament and a SmartGrid Workshop. The Cybersecurity Tournament invites college students studying in the field of cybersecurity to compete in finding data breaches with cash prizes for the finalists and a chance to showcase their findings to the conference’s audience. The SmartGrid Workshop includes a free assessment to participating utility companies of cyber risks and network performance problems conducted by NIKSUN. The assessment will include recommendations to optimize network performance, protect the network from intrusions, reduce the chance of theft of IP, and forensics to track, detect, and re-construct intrusions that may occur.

Dr. Parag Pruthi, NIKSUN Founder, Chairman, & CEO first conceived the idea of NIKSUN’s WWSMC through conversations with high government officials. Spurred on by discussions with Mr. McConnell, the late Congressman Solarz, and former Senator Lieberman, Dr. Pruthi decided to start an educational campaign to raise awareness on the issues facing the world from malicious cyber actors operating inside and outside our borders. The first NIKSUN World Wide Security & Mobility Conference (WWSMC) was held in Princeton, NJ, and jam packed with 200 attendees from industry, government, and academia and grew to 400 over the next 7 conferences. NIKSUN’s WWSMC ’13 is expected to be the biggest conference yet, with over 500 attendees expected.

Dr. Pruthi, also known as the “father of packet capture,” speaks internationally on cyber terrorism, and is recognized as one of the foremost experts in advanced cybersecurity technologies. Dr. Pruthi is a trusted advisor on cyber defense strategies for various governments and enterprises around the world, and is often invited to keynote at various NATO nations, defense agencies, and strategic commands.
